A lovely set of six Burgess & Leigh dinner plates in a design named Poppy. This backstamp belongs to the antique ceramic factory at the Middleport Pottery in Burslem, England with the Poppy design registered back in 1889/1890. All of the plates are in good condition with expected wear commensurate with age. Poppy is a beautiful decorative pattern of transferware from the late Victorian aesthetic movement and is a highly collectible antique English pottery.
