Large Victorian Bow Front Mahogany Chest of Drawers
This is a handsome old Victorian chest of drawers built to last from a quality manufacturer. Unfortunately over the years it’s run into some neglect although the classic shape and form are still there with plenty of years left in the tank. The newly restored version is almost Ebony in finish with its contrasting original mahogany handles sitting proudly on the most beautiful chunky turned tall legs. This was one of the reasons I was drawn to it ! All drawers run smoothly enough but some of the bases have had been glued/ pinned back together. There are a few small gaps to the fronts but nothing large enough that you’re going to lose anything through them. The drawers are itching to be covered up with a liner / wallpaper of your choice. It has the odd crack in the wood with nibbles, missing detail trim and various repairs but it’s still good for something so old.
