We have two iconic Jatte bowls which you would find as a staple in most French kitchens. Long used in country kitchens for cooking, baking bread, and in the past, for milk and cheese making. Their size and shape, chestnut colour are iconic.
The interiors of these bowls are glazed, while the exterior is unglazed except for the brown rim. Both are slightly different with their handmade nature allowing for small differences and imperfections. It’s not uncommon to find the same items with different colourings or variations in rim size. These two are clearly different. One with pouring lip and talker whilst the more rounded version is lower in height. Sold individually.
